REST is a place to set things down, designed as a thoughtful platform for objects you use and return to often. REST lives comfortably between altar, display, and domestic surface. It offers a grounded place for the items that matter whether practical, ceremonial, or simply beautiful without prescribing how it should be used.

Each REST is made in a small batch series, cut from the same slab of wood. Depending on the material, a series may yield three to five pieces, each sharing grain lineage and proportion. These sibling pieces are united by a matching leg and base design, modeled in a Japanese joinery-inspired style that emphasizes balance, lift, and quiet strength.

The elevated form creates both presence and lightness allowing the piece to feel anchored while still floating above the surface it rests upon. Subtle variation in grain, edge, and tone ensures that no two are identical, while the shared structure gives each series a cohesive identity.
