AXIS is a study in stillness, Carved as a vertical anchor for burning incense, this piece holds the moment where fire becomes smoke and where intention rises and the surrounding space grows quiet. Its form is simple and deliberate, allowing the act itself to remain central.
Each AXIS is hand hewn from an assortment of hardwoods, selected for character, grain, and natural variation. Tool marks are polished smooth, giving the piece a tactile presence that speaks to the hand that shaped it. The surface is finished using all-natural polishes, allowing the wood to breathe, age, and deepen over time.
At the top, an integrated ash catch finished with an onyx resin glaze provides both function and contrast. A dark, smooth, and grounding against the warmth of the wood. The result is a quiet balance of raw and refined, structure and softness.
